Terms of service

1. What this is

LaunchBox Games provides branded browser games for local businesses, together with a console for configuring rewards, printing QR materials, redeeming codes and reading reports. These terms cover the account holder — the business — rather than members of the public who play a game.

2. Price

The service costs $150 per active location per month. There is one price and one tier. Every feature described in the product is included at that price; nothing is withheld for a higher plan.

A location counts as active on the day it is created and stops counting the day it is archived. Adding a location mid-cycle adds it to the next invoice.

3. Trial

New accounts start with a 14-day trial and no payment method required. At the end of the trial the account continues at the price above unless it is cancelled. Nothing is charged automatically without a payment method having been set up.

4. Cancelling

Cancel at any time from the billing page. The service runs to the end of the period already paid for. Export your data before or after cancelling — plays, winners, redemptions and opted-in contacts are all available as CSV, and they are yours.

5. Your responsibilities

6. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break the score verification, submit fabricated rounds, probe the service for vulnerabilities without permission, or resell access as your own product. Automated abuse is rate limited and may result in suspension.

7. Fair play and scoring

Scores are recalculated on the server from the round's event log. Rounds that fail verification are rejected, do not appear on leaderboards and issue no rewards. We may remove entries and revoke codes obtained through manipulation.

8. Availability

We aim for the service to be available whenever your shop is open, but no specific uptime is guaranteed. If the service is unreachable, your staff can still honour a code they can see on a customer's screen and record it afterwards.

9. Data

Handling of personal data is described in the privacy notice. For player data collected through your locations, you are the controller and we process on your instructions.

10. Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before it arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profit or goodwill.

11. Suspension

We may suspend an account for non-payment after notice, for illegal activity, or for abuse that threatens the service for others. Where we suspend for non-payment, you keep the ability to export your data.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified to the account email before they take effect, and continuing to use the service afterwards means accepting them.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms go to the operator of this installation. If you are evaluating the product, use the demo request form on the homepage.
